CAPT Make-Up Assessments
- As a result of the recent school
cancellations, all CAPT Make-Up Assessments have been
rescheduled. If you are looking at the schedule, the times
(and total minutes of testing) will be in effect only if a
student is taking both exams on that particular day. If a
student only needs to make up one exam, he/she should arrive
at the make up location (the English/Social Studies Learning
Center- Room 2038) at 7:30. So, if a student is taking a
Session II Make-Up Exam, he/she can test at the beginning of
the testing time (7:35), since the directions are the same
for both sessions. For example, if, a student only needs to
make up Math Session II, he/she should arrive at 7:30 so
he/she can test in the morning, and then get to the rest of
his/her classes. If anybody has a question, please call the
Assistant Principal’s Office.

VARSITY VOGUE - The Staples High
School Cheerleaders will host its annual “Varsity Vogue”
fashion show and auction at 7 p.m. March 26 at Mitchells of
Westport. Varsity Vogue is the only fund-raising event for
the Staples Varsity Cheerleaders, and helps defray expenses
for transportation, uniforms and training. A portion of the
proceeds also go to charity, and this year the cheerleaders
will be donating to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
All senior football and basketball players
and varsity cheerleaders will be honored at the event, and
the captains of each team will model Mitchells clothing.
Head football coach Marce Petroccio, head basketball coach
Colin Devine and cheerleading coach Jocylyn Sadlon will
emcee the event. Tickets for the event are $20 and are
available from Mary Sue Teplitz at msteplitz@gmail.com or
203-247-6435. Tickets will be available at the door for $25.
Scholarships - 2010 forms for
local scholarships are now available.

Spring Sports tryouts begin 3/22
(baseball conditioning 3/15). Forms B and C must be on file
and approved by the nurses or trainers prior to try outs. No
form, no try out, no exceptions. Forms are available on this
site under Athletics.
