Gravity Sings Different Notes For Us All
Dave Van Witt
The herds of uncertain boys and girls
Lend their hearts to one another,
Attached with invisible fishing wire.
I heave my heart with confidence.
No selfish safety lines,
But dedicated lie-less binds.
Our lips once touched as they do.
I felt the presence of belief in truth.
A fist from heaven!
Then Love Love Love!
An explosion of emotion!
A fist from the farthest heaven!
My mind wanders…
I look to a future time,
I will miss this enough to miss life my life
I couldn’t keep from the crooked time lines...
But I’ll bring myself together like five fingers
Clenched to a fist as if holding a secret
Weighed and balanced equal with life
But shouts!
“We’re all blinded by reality!”
Said my heart to behind my mind.
Said it like it meant something to me
But still a something the world won’t see
Something that means everything
Screams Love!
It falls for me like golden-red leaves
Through crisp blue
When gravity sings… it didn’t kill me
She gave the voice life
