Enough Said

D.F.Brown

Knife cutting bluntness,

  careful never to get hurt.

But stay away from society bed,

life seems to go straight to the head.

For whom are you asking,

for we care not of you.

But lift them all anyway,

  and bring them all home.

When people ask why they can’t be related,

don’t even try and relate the undated.

And here I sit and write free verse,

halogen haloes lingering over my head

Telling what they don’t want,

   until I’ll be dead.

Enough said.
