During communication time before the break, many teachers shared Will Andrews' insightful and moving valedictory address to the Class of 2016 last June. His message deserves to be heard by the entire Staples community - students, parents, and staff. Will reminds us to be kind to others and ourselves, he puts the competitive nature of our high-achieving community into perspective, and he urges all of us to live mindfully in the present moment: these are the good old days. Will acknowledges the challenges Staples students face and alludes to his own personal struggles. As a result, he shatters any preconceived ideas one might have had regarding who a "valedictorian" is, and we couldn't be more proud of the character and bravery he shows.
