Resilience Project
Our recent Communication Time conversations have revolved around the importance of listening. The very first step toward understanding and getting along with others - whether we share a great many things in common or whether we differ in ethnicity/religion/political views/gender/age/etc, whether we agree with their points of view or not - is to hear them. Active listening skills are also vital in strengthening our understanding of and relationships with our own children, and they are important skills to model for them, as well. Parents interested in learning more about active listening can find more information here.

Join the Toquet Hall Teen Governing Board
Applications Available. Interested students are invited to apply to be a part of the Toquet Hall Governing Board. Through this opportunity, Toquet Hall provides a forum for youth to serve as community assets, develop leadership skills, planning and decision making skills, and interact with people of different interests and backgrounds. The governing boards meet bimonthly to discuss upcoming programs, review press kits, assist with fundraising initiatives and create promotion strategies. Students will gain valuable volunteer experience in a fun and unique setting. Applications are available at www.toquethall.org.
