Some of the following have left the arts to pursue other fields while many are still working in some a aspect of the business. This list is incomplete and will always need updating. We welcome information concerning Staples students who went on to pursue the arts. We would also like to add short specific bios whenever possible.

Please email us if you can provide any further information on these or any other former players.

Featured Alumnus: Michael Hayden

Staples Players alumnus Michael Hayden (Class of ’82) recently starred in Merrily We Roll Along at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This show was part of their gala Sondheim Celebration featuring full scale production of six of Sondheim’s shows which were performed in repertory. Hayden starred as Franklin Shepard in a cast which featured such Broadway notables at Raul Esperza (MC in Cabaret, . . .tick, tick, BOOM, Sunday in the Park with George, etc.) and Emily Skinner (The Full Monty, Side Show, etc.). At Staples, Hayden was president of Players and performed such roles as Billy Bigelow in Carousel -- a role which he reprised in the most recent London and Broadway revivals. For more information on Hayden’s career, check out a brief resume and pictures or click here to see pictures from the Merrily production.
