Return to Mr. Lazaroff's Anatomy & Physiology
The format of this test is a LAB PRACTICUM. In a lab practicum you need to apply what you have learned to actual specimens, whether they be bones (models in this case), microscope slides, or our dissection specimens.
For Today's test, you will have a station for each of the 18 bones. There are 9 types of bones, with a left and right of each (thus 18 bones). At each station you will be given 90 seconds. During those 90 seconds you must determine (1) the name of the bone, (2) whether the bone is left or right, and (3) the name of the landmark that has been indicated (with an asterisk on masking tape) on the bone.
To complete the test, you will do the following:
(1) All of the 9 bone types must be identified by filling in the name in the space provided. Spelling Counts! (1/2 point each)
(2) You will simply circle L for left, and R for right, to indicate left or right. (1 point each)
(3) All of the landmarks will be identified by matching; you will write the letter that matches the landmark name in the space provided. (1 point each)
There will be 24 stations, so the remaining 6 stations will be fill in and short answer asking you questions regarding neighboring bones, not to mention the joints they form, and the movements they make. Much of this information was from the Bone Lab that led up to this test, not to mention discussions and notes from in class. Don't forget that you can always practice using the internet links at the top of the lab, and you are always welcome to come in and practice using the bones themselves!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
