Once a week each group will be doing a show live on WWPT 90.3 (and streaming on http://www.wwptfm.com and Cablevision channel 78).
At least once a week each group will be assigned time for "Production".
Usually twice a week, students will meet with Zeeto for discussions and lessons on radio history; rock history; contemporary issues in music; and questions/help with assignments.
Production Assignments: Unless otherwise agreed upon, your radio group of four students will be split into two groups of two students each. Each production group should edit the recordings of their shows into a "Best of/Audition CD". The final finished piece must be between 5 and 10 minutes, with all songs telescoped (and none of the songs longer than 30 sec.). Additionally, each each audition CD must contain a newscast that was read on the air, and at least one other from the Drury List below:
Note: The deadline for entries for the Drury Awards for Excellence in High School Radio is the first week in May (all entries need to be sent to Chicago within a week). Click here for more info on the Druries (Get to the page and then click "Drury Awards" on the side bar).
