October 15th - Town Hall - Town Hall is an indie-folk trio comprised of singer/mandolinist Stefan Weiner, singer/multi-instrumentalist Phoebe Ryan, and guitarist Jesse Kranzler. Both Stefan and Phoebe were previously working on solo projects Stefan’s solo album Through the Cracks in My Door can be heard (or bought!) by clicking here, while Jesse has spent the past few years touring with the math-rock band Witt.

While on their own these three all produced incredible music, the collaboration between them has led to songs with a new level of maturity and originality. Stefan and Phoebe’s voices have an incredible natural blend that is backed by Jesse’s intricate yet subtle guitar arrangements.

Ellen Kempner, a Staples junior, one of the co-chairs of our concert series, and a wonderful singer/songwriter, kicked off our season with a show of fine crafted songs. You can check out some of Ellen's music on her youtube channel by clicking here (or, of course, call in a request for Ellen's music by calling 203-341-1381!)
