Geographically where are the Cubnians and the Freedom Party?
Everywhere.

What is the political structure of the nation?
Cuborica has a Parliamentary system, albeit a tenuous one, which means a legislative and executive branch. The president, responsible for domestic affairs, was a Japica, while the Prime Minister, responsible for foreign affairs, was a Boreacan.

What are the major differences between the three major parties? Why does national alliance disagree with common sense?
The hostilities are primarily economic in origin, but
political party lines coincide with ethnicity and socioeconomic status as well as geographic location.

What is the procedure for amending the Constitution of Cuborica?
The legislature may convene a convention to debate the proposed changes for formalize the proposed amendment. If and when the committee reaches consensus, the proposed amendment is then open to debate by the entire class convened in the classroom. If the Amendment emerges from the convention with the approval of 2/3 of the eligible voters, it then goes to a public referendum of all qualified voters of the nation where it must pass by a simple majority.

What is the procedure for introducing legislation to Parliament?
All Japican and Boreacan members of the class must convene in the Parliamentary chamber. The legislation must be distributed to all members. Each item is up for open debate, all members who wish to speak on the proposal may do so, uninterrupted. Vote will be taken by roll call and legislation requires a simple majority to pass. The President has the power of the veto; vetoes can be overriden by a 2/3 vote of the Parliament which must be reconvened for the roll call.

In 1901 the Boreacans in neighboring Bosgovnia gained independence in 1901 from Lativistan and established Bosgovnia as a sovereign nation. Capitalizing on this nationalist fervor, in the early 20th Century the Boreacans in Cuborica formed the National Alliance Party

WAR and MILITARY

Does the Freedom Party have an army?
There are rumors of a growing paramilitary force.

How large (number) is each army?
Most international experts agree that the reported numbers of enlisted or conscripted fighters may far under-represent the actual number of military or paramilitary personnel on each side. Best estimates claim that the army of the Common Sense Party (formerly the army of unified Cuborica) has about 800,000 enlisted soldiers, the National Alliance army numbers less than 500,000. It is impossible to tell how many Cubnians have joined the Freedom Party paramilitary force.

FOREIGN RELATIONS

Which countries have aligned with each party?
None of the border countries (Kosnia, Cupan, Bosgovnia and Aforea) have sent military aid, money or personnel to Cuborica, yet. However, both sides received foreign assistance from nations off of the continent. The National Alliance received money and materiel from South Austrica (Prime Minister Alija Ganic), and Common Sense received the same kind of assistance from Latvistan (President Margaret Chirac). Neither party in Cuborica has received foreign soliders, yet.

Is the world aware of the treatment of the Cubnians? Had they taken action about it?
Sure. People only care now that they hear rumors of paramilitary activity.

Refugees? Where do they go?
In small numbers refugees fled to makeshift camps in the neighboring countries of Kosnia, Bosgovnia and Cupan. Aforea which also shares a border with Cuborica increased border patrol to block the passage for war refugees into their country.

Are the Cubnians completely exiled, or are there any political or economical connections between them and any other territory?
The surrounding countries of
Kosnia, Cupan, Bosgovnia and Aforea all have significant Cubnian minorities.

ECONOMY

How is wealth distributed between the parties?
Japicas dominate the wealthy class; Boreacans are middle or working class.

What is the natural resource?
Oil - the oil fields were nationalized in 1973 in response to the oil crisis. While it is unlikely that any new reserves exist, in the event that any are discovered, they are, by law, under the management of the national government.

Is this an agricultural society or industrial?
Cuborica has a mixed economy; there is some agriculture, but the manufacturing/industrial sectors and oil exportation dominate the economy. While not a global economic leader, it certainly is of consequence to global economic and political health.

What is Cuborica's currency and value against the dollar?
The Caraka is the basis of Cuborica's currency. Prior to the outbreak of the war, one caraka was worth about $.75 U.S. dollars. As a consequence of the war Cuborica has experienced an inflation rate of 300% annually. Dollars and European Euros are the only currencies accepted on the black market.

Ethnic Cubnians were denied education, suffrage and residency in Boreacan or Japican townships. However, they were granted work papers which allowed them to be employed as day laborers in the townships.

Religion was outlawed.

Boreacans and Japicas are of European descent; Cubnians trace their ancestry to west Africa.

Gender equity has historically been an issue in Cuborica as in other industrialized nations, however international concern for the status of women in this country has long been overshadowed by the ethnic hostility which plagues the nation.
