• Greed: Everyone wants the oil, as well as the profits from the oil.

  • Powah: The power is not only wanted, but essential. Everyone wants to have some power in the form of influence, and people are willing to go to great lengths to get it. We were bombed because the other groups wanted influence, and we are constantly working to keep ourselves in power, because without it we can't do anything. We were reluctant to take risks because we wanted to keep the power.

  • Ignorance: We would develop strategies for problems that didn't exist, and that was ignorant because we need to do what's right. We tried to solve the problems to achieve peace, but we needed to have a greater understanding of the problems first.

  • Oppressed people strive for equality and freedom, eventually the need for these would cause for the need of power, causing fear and consequences that eventually lead to repeating the cycle all over again.

  • Equality can never really be obtained, the need for power (human nature) too strong to allow people to live on the same level.

  • Some people strive for peace but those are the people who are most fearful of revolt and severe change, therefore not getting what they want because with peace comes equality, and equality doesn't fill the need of power that many people want or think they need.

  • Can you blame people for human nature? Unless it is taken too far, no. Human nature is the need for power. How do you know when it's taken too far? When other peoples natural rights are given up for your own power.
