Have the students stand up and point to parts on their body, using directional terms. Once they are familiar, have them close their eyes and do the same . . .
Directional Terms: (Remember, Left & Right mean the Victim's Left & Right!)
| Anterior | Medial (on the abdomen) |
| Cranial | Medial (on the arm!) |
| Distal (on the arm) | Left Upper Quadrant |
| Inferior (on the back) | Umbilical Region |
| Dorsal | Supine |
| Lateral (on the chest) | Right Lumbar Region |
| Proximal (on the leg) | Caudal |
| Right Iliac Region | Ipsilateral |
| Contralateral | Prone |
| Left Hypochondriac | Intermediate (in the fingers) |
